I’ve been a busy bee lately with various commission projects that are still on the go, but I thought I’d show you some of my other painted pieces.
For a week in August we stayed in a fabulous town house situated in SW France that is owned by a dear friend with impeccable taste! The interior of the property was painted white with beautiful pieces of vintage furniture, such as a black bed and black chest of drawers.
They looked so chic that I decided to paint this gorgeous walnut wardrobe in Nearly Black chalk paint and line the interior with a fun wallpaper.
The wallpaper is by Sandberg, Mr & Mrs Collins.
The proportions of this sweet dressing table I think are perfect for a girl’s room so I gave it a lick of Silver chalk paint, covered the drawers in Ralph Lauren’s Toile wallpaper, changed the knobs and painted the insides of the drawers in Warm Grey paint, a lovely lilac colour.
Hey presto, the perfect dressing table for a girl’s bedroom.
Before and after…
Antique pine kitchen dresser hand painted in Brut chalk paint, lightly distressed and waxed finish.
Fell in love with this piece immediately.
A lovely chest of oak drawers given a Gustavian style make over , using Paris Grey chalk paint and dark wax.
The insides of the drawers are lined with Andrew Martin’s Love Letters wallpaper.
Sweet book case.
The perfect pine side table that now lives in my back porch! I painted the legs in a beautiful colour called Winter Sky.
Even my walls have had the chalk paint treatment!
Until next time xx
