Latest Painting Project – Rustic Dining Table.

Dining tables with an extra leaf are such a valuable piece of furniture.

This particular table can be transformed from a square table for four to a rectangular table for six.

Not only that but this table has the most impressive legs on castors.

I sanded the top and applied a few coats of clear wax then chose Earth Stone chalk paint for the legs, waxed them and gave them a distressed finish.

A charming dining/kitchen table.

For Sale – £295.00

More pieces to come very soon.

Latest Painting Projects.

I can never let a Pembroke table go by.

They are just so handy!

They can be used as a console/hall table or as a dining table for four.

This particular one scores extra points as it has a faux drawer at one end and an opening drawer at the other.

I chose Nearly Black chalk paint for the top and Country Grey for the legs.

Opted for a heavily distressed and waxed finish.

Currently for sale £225.00

All my previous dressing tables I posted have now sold and I have just finished this next piece which is currently available.

It has beautiful oval brass handles, tapered legs on castors and a bevelled edge mirror with original glass.

Hand painted using both Linen and Almond chalk paint to create an aged look.

Waxed and lightly distressed finish.

Price £195.00

Working on lots of vintage projects this week including a sideboard, dining table, wardrobe, bookcase and more.

Until next time.

Fashion Friday – Generations.

I personally love both these chic styles and would wear either.

Latest Painting Projects.

This fabulous single wardrobe is a coordinating piece to a dressing table I posted last week so I chose the same paint colour Earth Stone should a customer want the set.

I polished the handles and gave the paintwork a waxed and distressed finish.

The beauty of these wardrobes is that they dismantle into three pieces so they are perfect for manoeuvring upstairs.

This piece has now sold.

I chose Winter Sky chalk paint for this dressing table, a lovely pale duck egg colour.

Again waxed and distressed finish.

This particular colour of paint is such a versatile colour, compliments a wide range of colour schemes.

This piece has now sold.

Last summer I opted for a one piece as we were going on a bodyboarding, frizbee playing, sandcastle building kind of holiday.

Frolicking on the beach has never been so relaxing.

All hail the one-piece I say.

It is amazing how paint can transform a piece of traditional furniture to a beautiful, more up-to-date style and non more so than this dressing table.

I chose Earth Stone paint, a lovely grey/beige colour that suits so many colour schemes and completed the look with a waxed and distressed finish.

Lovely bow drop handles, elegantly tapered legs on castors and oval mirror with original aged glass.

Colour Inspiration.

Today I will be painting a lovely vintage wardrobe and I am using this rather lovely image for my colour inspiration.
