Latest Painting Project – Display Cabinet.

When I saw this display cabinet I had visions of it living in many rooms from the kitchen in which to store glassware etc to the bedroom where it would make the perfect addition to wardrobe storage.

How fabulous to have your shoe collection on display!

Hand painted using Autentico Sailors Blue and Linen.

Lightly distressed and waxed finish.

Currently for sale – £275.00

Latest Painting Project – Occasional Table.

Tables with drawers are such a good investment when it comes to furniture.

Anything that has a dual purpose is a hit for me.

This lovely piece serves as a table, drawers plus has an additional storage shelf for whatever you wish to place on top.

I chose Autentico’s Earth Stone chalk paint for the exterior and complimentary French Grey for the inside of the drawers, finished with clear wax and subtle hints of gold gilding wax.

I also changed the handles to a beautiful cornflower blue glass pair from Anthropology which really make the piece.

Lightly distressed finish to enhance the carving details.

Currently for sale – £145.00.

Latest Painting Projects – Decoupage With Cavallini Paper.

Cavallini produce some of the best quality wrapping papers around and are perfect for decoupage projects.

This particular paper reminds me of the new Ardmore Collection by Cole and Son which is simply spectacular.

I had a blanket box with panels that proved to be the perfect piece to showcase this gorgeous wrapping paper.

The box was painted using Autentico’s Nearly Black chalk paint and after applying the paper I then protected the whole piece with a matt varnish.

I was so pleased with the final result that I couldn’t bear to part with it.

It’s a keeper!

Latest Painting Project – Oval Dining Table Gustavian Style.

I’ve mentioned before my love for a drop leaf table as they are such versatile pieces.

Not only do they make great space saving dining tables but they also look fabulous placed behind sofas and in hallways as console tables.

This particular table is a favourite of mine as it is oval in shape and has beautiful deep leaves that hide the legs when they are folded away.

As the table is oak I chose a Gustavian style paint effect as the grain of the wood absorbs the pale grey wash beautifully against the Belgian Stone chalk paint base.

I then finished the whole piece with white wax.

Seats up to 8 people.

Currently for sale £375.00

Latest Painting Project – Pair Of Demi Lune Tables.

I kept it simple for these tables as it’s all about the shape.

Beautiful deep demi lune tables with an additional shelf.

I chose Elephant Grey chalk paint, finished with clear wax and the lightest distressing.

Chic and stylish.

Currently available to buy £275.00.

Latest Painting Project – Hall Table.

I painted this elegant hall table using a bespoke mix of chalk paints to create this lovely grey/blue colour which I then finished with both clear and black wax.

The black wax enhances the lovely details such as the reeded legs and curved front drawer.

A great paint colour that works with most colour schemes.

Latest Painting Project – Edwardian Dressing Table.

After buying this beautiful Edwardian dressing table I hung onto it for a while hoping to make it work in my house but after much deliberation I had to accept the fact it was too big for any of our bedrooms. Sob.

So I got to work and painted some of the woodwork using Autentico’s Earth Stone chalk paint and re-waxed the gorgeous inlaid wood sections.

The mirror is just how I like it, beautifully foxed.

A stunning piece I hope you’ll agree.

Currently reserved.
