Latest Painting Project – Vintage Duck Egg Chest of Drawers with Bone Handles.

This sweet chest of drawers would be the perfect storage solution for a bedroom.

With that in mind I chose Annie Sloan’s Duck Egg chalk paint and I also applied a pale grey wash over the top to create a limed effect.

Gently distressed and waxed finish.

I replaced the original handles with pretty bone handles.

Latest Painting Project – Ladies Bureau.

This bureau is the sweetest piece of furniture.

I wanted to choose delicate colours as I envisaged this piece sitting in a bedroom so I chose Linen for the exterior and Duck Egg for the interior.

The whole piece was then painted with a white wash and protected with a coat of clear wax.

I then added a gorgeous new key tassel which compliments both colours perfectly.

Thrilled to bits with the final finish.

Latest Painting Project – Vintage 3 Tier Trolley.

Vol au vent anyone?

In a previous life this hostess trolley would have been groaning with 1970’s gourmet delights and possibly a martini or two.

Today the hostess trolley is cool again but for a different reason.

It’s a lovely piece of furniture for a bathroom, kitchen or bedroom on which to display your treasures.

Practical and stylish.

I chose French Linen as the base coat and painted a wash of Silver chalk paint over the top.

Waxed and very lightly distressed finish.

Now Sold but please enquire if you would like to be added to the list for another one.

Latest Painting Project – Duck Egg Kitchen Cabinet.

If you’re looking to add a pop of colour to your kitchen then this vintage cabinet could be the answer.

I chose Autentico’s Nautique for the exterior and Annie Sloan’s French Linen for the interior.

Waxed and distressed finish.

Glass fronted cupboards provide storage for glasses, mugs and of course shelves for your decorative plates.

This piece would also look great placed on top of a sideboard or chest of drawers.

Latest Painting Project – Edwardian Secretaire.

This Edwardian secretaire was a labour of love.

I really wanted to transform it from its original dour state to a piece that would shine in a room.

I chose Autentico’s Wilderness chalk paint for the exterior under which I painted Sailor Blue as the two colours work brilliantly together.

Once the piece was waxed I lightly distressed the paintwork so that hints of the blue paint would show through.

The interior I painted using Annie Sloan’s fabulous Primer Red.

The perfect contrast against the green and I managed to source a key tassel in the same Primer Red colourway.

The original leather insert was badly damaged so I replaced it with a piece of navy felt and edged it with a lovely vintage green braid.
