Latest Painting Projects – Bedside Tables.

Finding a pair of matching bedside tables is a quest in itself.

So when I saw these beauties I just had to have them.

They have beautiful decorative legs and square tops which are perfect on which to place a lamp, book, water glass, photo frame, the list goes on. Plus they also have a drawer each for extra storage.

I chose Autentico Brut chalk paint, a lovely mid grey and finished them with a coat of clear wax and very light distressing.

Currently for sale – £320.00

Latest Painting Project – Ladies Bureau.

This bureau is the sweetest piece of furniture.

I wanted to choose delicate colours as I envisaged this piece sitting in a bedroom so I chose Linen for the exterior and Duck Egg for the interior.

The whole piece was then painted with a white wash and protected with a coat of clear wax.

I then added a gorgeous new key tassel which compliments both colours perfectly.

Thrilled to bits with the final finish.

Latest Painting Project – Duck Egg Kitchen Cabinet.

If you’re looking to add a pop of colour to your kitchen then this vintage cabinet could be the answer.

I chose Autentico’s Nautique for the exterior and Annie Sloan’s French Linen for the interior.

Waxed and distressed finish.

Glass fronted cupboards provide storage for glasses, mugs and of course shelves for your decorative plates.

This piece would also look great placed on top of a sideboard or chest of drawers.

Latest Painting Project – Cream Occasional Table.

How many times have you sat down with your glass of wine/cup of tea and thought “if only I had a small side table I could put this glass/mug”.

Well here is the answer to your problems, a beautiful vintage round table of perfect proportions.

Hand painted using a Linen chalk paint base then finished with an Almond chalk paint wash and protected with a couple of coats of clear wax.

Now sold but I shall definitely be doing more of the same.

Latest Painting Project – Elephant Grey & Gold Painted Sideboard.

A beautiful bow fronted sideboard on elegantly tapered legs with some of the most gorgeous handles I’ve seen in a while.

The handles in question are fabulous round drop brass handles that have cleaned up a dream.

Hand painted using Elephant Grey chalk paint and then gold gilding wax to highlight very subtly the edges of the cupboards, drawer and legs.

Waxed and lightly distressed finish.

Complimented with a new plum key tassel.

Latest Painting Project – Navy Chest of Drawers.

So this beautiful blue paint colour has now made it to the top of my favourite chalk paint colours.

The paint colour in question is Autentico’s Sailors Blue.

A gorgeous rich navy.

I was itching to use it on this lovely chest of drawers as I knew the colour would contrast beautifully with the pretty petal drop brass handles and I was not disappointed.

Needless to say they didn’t hang around for long and are now sold but if you follow me on instagram you’ll be seeing this colour appear very soon.

I am also excited to be using a new Plum colour soon which I think will lend itself perfectly to a distressed finish.

Latest Painting Project – Edwardian Secretaire.

This Edwardian secretaire was a labour of love.

I really wanted to transform it from its original dour state to a piece that would shine in a room.

I chose Autentico’s Wilderness chalk paint for the exterior under which I painted Sailor Blue as the two colours work brilliantly together.

Once the piece was waxed I lightly distressed the paintwork so that hints of the blue paint would show through.

The interior I painted using Annie Sloan’s fabulous Primer Red.

The perfect contrast against the green and I managed to source a key tassel in the same Primer Red colourway.

The original leather insert was badly damaged so I replaced it with a piece of navy felt and edged it with a lovely vintage green braid.
