Latest Painting Project – Occasional Table.

Tables with drawers are such a good investment when it comes to furniture.

Anything that has a dual purpose is a hit for me.

This lovely piece serves as a table, drawers plus has an additional storage shelf for whatever you wish to place on top.

I chose Autentico’s Earth Stone chalk paint for the exterior and complimentary French Grey for the inside of the drawers, finished with clear wax and subtle hints of gold gilding wax.

I also changed the handles to a beautiful cornflower blue glass pair from Anthropology which really make the piece.

Lightly distressed finish to enhance the carving details.

Currently for sale – £145.00.

Latest Painting Project – Pair Of Demi Lune Tables.

I kept it simple for these tables as it’s all about the shape.

Beautiful deep demi lune tables with an additional shelf.

I chose Elephant Grey chalk paint, finished with clear wax and the lightest distressing.

Chic and stylish.

Currently available to buy £275.00.

So when I saw these beauties I just had to have them.

They have beautiful decorative legs and square tops which are perfect on which to place a lamp, book, water glass, photo frame, the list goes on. Plus they also have a drawer each for extra storage.

I chose Autentico Brut chalk paint, a lovely mid grey and finished them with a coat of clear wax and very light distressing.

Latest Painting Project – Bedroom Chair.

I particularly love the bluebell carvings on the back of this vintage bedroom elbow chair and I wanted to choose a fabric that was in keeping with this detail.

I chose Zoffany’s beautiful Rosetta linen fabric and painted the frame using a combination of pale grey and beige chalk paints.

The frame was then waxed and given a distressed finish.

A sweet chair that is perfect for a bedroom, hallway or sitting room.

Currently for sale – £255.00

Herringbone Fireplace.

I do have a thing for symmetry when styling my home.

Pairs of vases, chairs, candlesticks, paintings etc etc.

Which is why I think I am drawn to the idea of a herringbone fireplace.

Something calming and aesthetically pleasing about the symmetrical design.

Food for thought as I have two fireplaces in my sitting room, sounds very grand but really isn’t, one of which I love and the other I try to hide with various objects of furniture.

It hasn’t been lit in thirteen years as we always light the other one but I would love to transform it using this herringbone design then it would no longer be an eyesore but a decorative part of the room.

Then I would style it with a pair of chairs either side, naturally.

Latest Painting Project – Antique Corner Cupboard.

A corner cupboard is the perfect solution for a room with limited floor space.

This particular antique one has oodles of storage space with beautifully shaped shelving and has the sweetest small inner drawers.

I painted the interior a gorgeous blue colour called Nautique as I thought the top cupboard doors could be left open to display  treasures and show off the beautiful shelving.

The exterior I painted using Earth Stone, a lovely neutral tone that works with everything.

Includes two working keys.

Additionally, the handmade Portuguese cabbage leaf dessert plates are also for sale £13.00 each.

Corner Cupboard for sale £295.00.
