Latest Painting Projects – Decoupage With Cavallini Paper.

Cavallini produce some of the best quality wrapping papers around and are perfect for decoupage projects.

This particular paper reminds me of the new Ardmore Collection by Cole and Son which is simply spectacular.

I had a blanket box with panels that proved to be the perfect piece to showcase this gorgeous wrapping paper.

The box was painted using Autentico’s Nearly Black chalk paint and after applying the paper I then protected the whole piece with a matt varnish.

I was so pleased with the final result that I couldn’t bear to part with it.

It’s a keeper!

Latest Project – Retro Bookcase with Decoupage Penguin Library Wallpaper.

I loved the idea of transforming this plain bookcase into a quirky statement piece.

This Osborne and Little Penguin Library wallpaper was the perfect choice combined with Sailors Blue chalk paint.

The paintwork has been given a lightly distressed finish and the whole piece has been protected with a clear matt water resistant varnish.

Currently for sale – £275.00

I chose the beautiful classic Ancient Tartan wallpaper by Mulberry with Autentico’s Wilderness chalk paint for this fabulous oak chest of drawers.

The combination of the two work perfectly together.

The whole piece has been protected with a clear matt varnish.

A fabulous statement piece.

Wednesday Wish List – John Derian

First and foremost John Derian’s home is in itself a Wednesday Wish List post.

Oozing with an array of eclectic vintage finds, his home is a cosy bohemian nest that I would simply like to order a carbon copy and live in it forever.

Instead I shall have to make do with a piece of his fabulous handmade decoupaged glassware.

A trip to Liberty is required I think.

The problem will be which design to choose? Ethereal pink roses to Victorian-esque insects and birds to colourful coral and magical rabbits.

Maybe I should start a paperweight collection…
