It was a busy old week last week here at Sally White Designs!
At the beginning of the week I painted a beautiful set of fitted wardrobes for a customer who wanted a French style feel to her dressing room. I opted for an Autentico paint colour in White Pepper, which is a lovely soft mushroom colour. Firstly I painted Autentico’s Corfu White underneath the areas I was planning on distressing so that hints of white would peek through the White Pepper. I finished them with a clear and dark wax to create an aged look and they look fabulous-photos to follow!
During the rest of the week I managed to finish a few pieces such as this gorgeous wardrobe! Edwardian with a deep drawer in the bottom, hanging rail and several hooks that run along the back piece.
I chose a really pretty Autentico colour called Polar Blue – a true ice blue that looks fabulous when distressed as the dark mahogany wood contrasts with the blue. My favourite colour at the moment.
I have to apologise for my photography skills in advance. Am working on it…
I also finished this lovely display cabinet which is just fab! A rather glamorous piece.
Hand painted in Annie Sloan’s Old White and then the back piece is wallpapered using the most gorgeous Ralph Lauren wallpaper called Nature Study Toile in a pretty pink colour.
I also replaced the glass shelves with mirrored ones, a lovely detail when displaying glass bottles.
Another piece to show you is a really sweet chest of drawers. Painted in Autentico’s Corfu White and a lovely shade of green on the inside of the drawers called Poetic. distressed and waxed finish.
I then wallpapered the front of the drawers using a gorgeous Zoffany wallpaper from the Gustavus range called Sophia in mint and added some pretty peach glass knobs.
Such a sweet piece!
