Latest Painting Project – Vintage 3 Tier Trolley.

Vol au vent anyone?

In a previous life this hostess trolley would have been groaning with 1970’s gourmet delights and possibly a martini or two.

Today the hostess trolley is cool again but for a different reason.

It’s a lovely piece of furniture for a bathroom, kitchen or bedroom on which to display your treasures.

Practical and stylish.

I chose French Linen as the base coat and painted a wash of Silver chalk paint over the top.

Waxed and very lightly distressed finish.

Now Sold but please enquire if you would like to be added to the list for another one.

Until next time..

Ochre Walls.

I currently have a thing for ochre walls which is so out of my comfort zone.

Have bought the paint, now just need the courage and the time!

Just Peachy.

Terracotta, peach, sandstone, dusky pink, salmon.

Colours that give you a warm hug when you enter the room.

Colour Block.

Colour blocking is a great way to make a bold statement within a room, particularly when you have striking architectural features such as panelling.

This idea translates to furniture too.

Linen Cupboard.

One of my next projects is a pine cupboard that I thought would make the perfect linen cupboard.

Undecided on the colour as yet.

Should I opt for duck egg or pale blue?

Old & New.

Create a modern look in an old room by painting all the woodwork the same colour.

This pale blue compliments the natural wood floor and table beautifully.

Lilac Wall.

This lilac wall is the perfect backdrop for dark wood furniture and potted blue hydrangeas.
