It’s been a while since my last painted furniture post and I’ve been busy painting commission pieces recently so today I thought I’d grab a moment to update the blog.
I picked up a pair of these lovely single bed headboards and painted them in After Rain, a pretty grey/green colour.
Given a waxed and lightly distressed finish.
Would suit either a girl’s or boy’s bedroom with the neutral colour scheme.
This coffee table was transformed from being mahogany with a glass top to a lovely painted coffee table in Linen with a mirror top.
The paint really brings out the carved details.
I knew as soon as I saw these drawers they had to painted Nearly Black.
The brass handles and the distressed finish really work against the paintwork.
The next two images are home projects for my daughter’s bedroom, apologies for the fuzzy instagram image.
Love this Annie Sloan yellow paint and the blue walls (Farrow & Ball) were painted over using a paint roller from the fabulous http://the-painted-house.co.uk/.
This beautiful glass fronted cabinet is so versatile, I mean we never have enough storage space do we?
I could imagine it in a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or sitting room.
I chose Belgian Stone for the exterior, a lovely sludgy grey and Antique White for the interior to contrast.
A useful kitchen chair painted in French Linen.
A few vintage finds:
Again, another piece that is extremely versatile, would suit a bedroom, kitchen or hallway is the demi lune table.
Painted in Paris Grey, waxed and distressed finish.
Beautiful set of vintage serpentine drawers hand painted in Paris Grey.
These are so sweet and would be perfect for a bedroom.
Fabulous chiffonier painted in French Linen.
Oodles of charm and perfect for storage.
These beauties didn’t hang around long and I can see why.
They have curved front corners, lovely turned handles and a deep base drawer.
Hand painted in Linen, one of my favourite colours this month.
I transformed a vintage cabinet using mirrors and lighting to become something rather more glamorous.
Sweet bedding box, hand painted using a mix of French Linen and White.
Topped off with a pretty reversible box cushion in Cabbages & Roses Black Paris Rose linen and Charcoal Ticking fabric.
Fabulous beech bergere window seat that is beautiful as is.
Another coffee table but the mirror top on this one has curved edges.
Love these spindle back kitchen chairs.
They have a retro vibe about them too.
This chest of drawers sold immediately.
A combination of lovely proportions and great colour-Paris Grey with a White base coat.
More chairs, this time in Chateau Grey.
Used the same colour for these fabulous drawers.
The paint really makes the brass handles sing.
Finally antique chairs!
A matching pair and a single on castors, all upholstered in Jane Churchill’s Bambury fabric.
Beautiful carvings, painted in Country Grey and given a lightly distressed finish.
Perfect as bedroom, hall or dining chairs.
Note to self, really must keep on top of my blog posts….
